The Cardinals Caravan returns to Joplin for the first time since 2020 this Saturday. A combination of Cardinals players, minor league prospects, alumni and team broadcasters will visit Young Gymnasium at 11am.
The Caravan is a great way for fans outside of St. Louis to get up close and personal with Cardinals players. Major League players scheduled to attend include Lars Nootbaar, Zack Thompson, and top prospect Gordon Graceffo. Also slated to appear are Cardinals alumni Randy Flores, and Alan Benes.
There will be raffle prizes for Cardinals merchandise, memorabilia and some special surprises to benefit the United Way of Southwest Missouri and Southeast Kansas.
As in previous years, the club will implement an autograph ticket system at each stop. The first 400 kids, ages 15 and under, through the door on the day of the event will receive a free autograph ticket which guarantees one autograph from each current and former player. Due to high demand, autographs will only be available for fans 15 and under.
