After a high schooler came forward saying he had sex with a Jasper school employee, charges were filed against 42-year-old Janice Rusk. The former Jasper High School employee says she's not guilty of the crimes. Jasper County Prosecutor Dean Dankleson explains the charges to News Talk KZRG.
"The crimes of statutory rape and statutory sodomy in the second degree. We allege she had both sexual intercourse and deviant sexual intercourse with a young man who was under 17 years old."
If convicted, each count could carry a seven year sentence. Rusk's next court date is May 21st.
