Columbus Man Hit and Killed in Accident



A 90-year-old Columbus man was hit and killed by a car while inspecting a deer his vehicle had hit moments earlier. The Cherokee County Sheriff's Office tells News Talk KZRG Louis Nicoletti got out of his wife's car shortly after 6 Tuesday night on a highway east of Columbus, and crossed the road to inspect a deer she had just hit, when he was hit by a car driven by 63-year-old Rosemary Pillar of Columbus. Nicoletti was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital. No word yet on if any charges will be filed against Pillar.
