Carthage is getting ready for an annual tradition. The 47th annual Maple Leaf Festival will be held Saturday. Neely Myers with the Carthage Chamber of Commerce tells News Talk KZRG the parade through downtown Carthage is as big as ever.
"We've been told it's the largest parade in southwest Missouri. This year we have over 200 individual units in the parade."
The parade starts at 9am in the Carthage square. There will also be a classic car show, a band festival, music, a model railroad show and swap meet and more. You can get a full list of events at carthagemapleleaf.com.
