If you like pelicans, you'll want to be at Grand Lake this weekend. Tad Jones, Executive Director of the Grand Lake Association, tells News Talk KZRG this year's annual Pelican Festival is a big one.
"Its the 30th annual festival. Most people don't know that the White American Pelican does its migration and lands on Grand Lake in Northeast Oklahoma every year, and sticks around for a couple of months."
Live musical performances, a carnival, and a parade are all on today's list of activities. Most attractions are free. The annual festival brings several thousand people to the area.
