CJ Pavilion Project Moving Forward

A community pavilion project in Carl Junction that was threatened by state law will move forward. State Representative Charlie Davis tells News Talk KZRG how Missouri's Prevailing Wage Law got in the way.

"It started when a contractor based in Neosho made a contract with Carl Junction to do the project for free. According to state law, believe it or not, a contract cannot be made with a municipality where the labor is provided for free."

Carl Junction's Aldermen decided last night to move ahead with the project without a contract, organized and built entirely by volunteers. The pavilion will be dedicated to town resident Jean Roy.
