Granby Woman Critical After Being Shot in the Head

A Granby woman is in critical condition after suffering a gunshot wound to the head early Saturday morning. According to the Jasper County Sheriff's Office, 22-year-old Kelly Crawford was shot when a gun being handled by 31-year-old Windell Douglas Daniels of Joplin went off at a home in Sarcoxie about 30 minutes after midnight. The two were part of a group that had been target practicing Friday night. Daniels has been arrested for Second Degree Assault and Armed Criminal Action. Official charges will be filed soon; News Talk KZRG will update this story as it develops.
