Did Governor Jay Nixon comply with the Real ID Act, even though it's against Missouri state law?
"No, because we didn't end up moving forward on that," Governor Nixon told News Talk KZRG during a visit to Jasper Tuesday.
Allegations came about after Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano, sent him a letter thanking him for complying. Nixon implied that since Missouri voted against it a couple of years ago, and it was never implemented, then the letter was incorrect.
Update 5:18pm: Governor Nixon's spokesman Scott Holste tells News Talk KZRG there has never been any intent to comply with the Federal Real ID law.
