Freeman Health System is holding a special event this week geared toward helping people break the chains of addiction. Christen Stark of Freeman tells News Talk KZRG it's called Addiction: Road to Recovery.
"One of our auxilians, Irleen Kelly, was selected President of the Missouri Association of Hospital Auxiliaries. Because of our area's issues with addiction, she thought it would be a great topic to address on a statewide level. Drug and alcohol issues are the most prevalent, but this is for any addiction issue, like gambling, or food... if it's you, or a loved one, struggling with addiction, we urge you to come."
The event happens this Thursday night from 5:30 to 7:30 at Freeman Business Center. It's free and open to the public.
