A judge has now downgraded charges against an Arma woman accused of the death of her 4-month-old son.
25-year-old Heather Buckalew was facing second-degree murder charges before they got downgraded to involuntary manslaughter by Judge A.J. Wachter Friday. Wachter says he changed the charge because the case against Buckalew doesn't claim there was any malicious intent in the child's death. Prosecutors tell News Talk KZRG she had been drinking before falling asleep with the baby on a couch last August. Overnight she rolled over on the infant, suffocating him.
